A series of plywood frames, designed as doors to hold watercolours on display — technical precision in the service of an artistic world.
For an art exhibition, Émilie Deltort, of Reflets Oniriques, entrusted us with producing a series of frames designed as wooden doors. Each one was to open symbolically onto a dreamlike world painted in watercolour, giving visual expression to the identity of her work while remaining a well-controlled production.
The frames were cut from 3 mm plywood using files supplied in .svg format, with a demanding specification:

For this exhibition, each piece had to be cut and engraved in 3 mm plywood with perfect precision. Even though the files were already supplied in SVG format, our work went well beyond mere execution: the settings had to be finely tuned to guarantee both crisp outlines, legible engraving and consistency across the entire series. We have worked with Émilie for several years, and it is precisely this steadiness that lets us aim for unwavering excellence:

While our contributions are above all technical, they are never mere execution. Each piece produced is the fruit of a constant dialogue with her artistic world: dreamlike, delicate, symbolic. Working with Émilie also means following a smooth, rigorous process worthy of the delicacy of her artistic world. We use a shared folder in which she drops her vector files (SVG format), together with precise instructions on the expected formats, quantities, materials and finishes. This way of working gives us:
